TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE DOCUGONZO DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL

  1. Deadline for Entry: All entries must be submitted by March 1st. Submissions received after this date will not be considered.

  2. Film Segmentation: Filmmakers who make it in the top three are responsible for dividing their documentary into short film segments that adhere to the festival's specified parameters. These parameters are TBD.

  3. Distribution Rights: By entering the festival, filmmakers grant DocuGONZO an exclusive distribution right for the submitted short documentary. This exclusivity period begins the day after the last segment of the short documentary has been aired. At the time of submission, throughout the festival and the 90-day period, the submitted and selected short film cannot be streamed or distributed anywhere else.

  4. Rights Post-Exclusivity Period: After the 90-day exclusive distribution period, filmmakers retain the right to share and distribute their film independently.

  5. Content Hosting: DocuGONZO reserves the right to host the top three selected short film on its platform until the next annual festival ends.

  6. Acknowledgment of Terms: Submission of an entry to the DocuGONZO Film Festival constitutes the entrant's acceptance of these terms and conditions. It is the entrant's responsibility to ensure that they have the right to submit the film and that the film does not infringe upon the rights of any third party.

    By submitting your film to the DocuGONZO Film Festival, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions. We look forward to giving overlooked and under appreciated journalists and filmmakers an opportunity to showcase their creative and compelling storytelling.
